This panorama view shows most of the more than 36,000 fans watching the fourth game of the World Series at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The friendships we made during that ten years period were invaluable to us and like all the other players, we had our Brooklyn family, their name was McKinney, and we have ever since that first year in Brooklyn considered them our family. We were also so fortunate to have a pediatrician for the children, Dr. Morris Steiner was his name, and none of us will ever forget him, nor will the children. Remember house calls? It was so reassuring when he would come to the house. Many times it was something so minor, but he would say, “Sometimes you need a friend more than a doctor”.
